Conducting the Survey (continued)

Surveying involves sampling three quadrats at each station, counting and identifying every organism within the 0.25m2 quadrat and calculating the average abundances of each species for each station.

For animals individual organisms within the quadrat are counted. These values are recorded in the data table under the appropriate species name.
